While making the switch to R32 refrigerant may not seem urgent today, many companies are turning to the products with a low global warming potential (GWP). R32 is an excellent alternative to the popular R410A. In fact many leading manufacturers are already producing equipment which works with R32 only.
R22 was one of the most commonly used HCFC refrigerants in air-conditioning and refrigeration plant. In the 1990s R22 was identified as an ozone-depleting refrigerant with potentially hazardous environmental impact, and steps were taken to phase out its use, along with other CFCs.
